City Nature Challenge

Join Astoria Park Alliance on Saturday, April 27 at 10:00am for the City Nature Challenge!

Cities from around the world will be competing in the 2019 City Nature Challenge, which runs from April 26-29.

The goal? Citizen scientists are encouraged to participate in making the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the places that they live.

To help propel NYC to the leading spot, we are having a friendly Battle of the Boroughs, and we’re hoping that you can join us to show what Queens can do!

Meet at Astoria Park, 23rd Avenue and 19th Street on Saturday, April 27 at 10:00am, where we will be using the iNaturalist app (www.inaturalist.org) to observe and record the trees, plants, birds and other wildlife that surrounds us.
