Don’t trash it, SMASH it! Turn your pumpkin into compost for our tree canopy. Toss your pumpkin down the graveyard smashing range. The winner with the longest distance will receive a $50 gift card to Inside Astoria. Help to spread your pumpkin compost throughout the park once you’ve given your pumpkin a proper smash. Costumes encouraged!

Now more than ever, Astoria Park Alliance is proud to bring our community together, but we must follow CDC guidelines to ensure that we’re taking the proper safety precautions. We ask that you do not participate if you have any of the following symptoms on the day-of: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, or sore throat. Masks are required. Social distancing is enforced. 

APA Pumpkin Smash takes place inside Astoria Park at Ditmars Blvd.. and 19th Street. Join us on Sunday, November 1st from 10:30am-12:30pm to smash your pumpkin. This event is ADA accessible. Pumpkin Smash could be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Please follow our Facebook page for event notifications and updates.
