STEP 1

Print a paper “Friend” to decorate, or make your own original paper friend with materials  you have at home!

STEP 2

Take your paper “Friend” to the park and take photos of them at the following locations:

  • Hell Gate Centennial Mural

  • World War I Memorial

  • Bocce Court

  • Track and Field Bulletin Board 

  • "Astoria Park" sign @ Ditmars Blvd & 19th St

  • Skate Park Ramps

  • The Swimming Pool

STEP 3

Post your photos on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Tag Astoria Park Alliance and use #AstoriaParkFriends. 

Round 2 of our Scavenger Hunt begins September 21st and ends October 18th at 11:59pm ET. Everyone who submits a photo by tagging Astoria Park Alliance and using #AstoriaParkFriends will be entered into a raffle, to be drawn on October 19th. One winner will be chosen at random by APA to receive a $50 gift card to Inside Astoria! 

Please note, by submitting a photo to the scavenger hunt, the entrant gives Astoria Park Alliance permission to use their content.
